On the weekend, Mr TUQ and I packed up a picnic and headed off to Regents Park to make some exciting travel plans for the next couple of months!
In Australia we used to spend all our spare time down by the beach, but in London people head to the huge parks with picnics to enjoy the warmer weather (It’s 22 degrees and I’m calling that warm – I must have adjusted to the British weather!!)
We flung out our picnic blanket and put out our lavish spread. I’d normally relish the opportunity to cook up a feast but since we don’t have a car in the UK, we had to squeeze everything onto the front of a Boris bike! So we played tetris in two bags and manage to pack pizzas, cakes, berries, and cocktails in our bottles – nothing to scoff at really!
We’ve recently discovered a place called Princi in Soho which is an Italian restaurant that also has a bakery on the side with the most mouth watering pizzas and desserts. If the food in Italy is anything like this then we are in for a real treat!
We weren’t the only ones that thought our food was tasty either! Almost every pooch in the park sniffed out our food and came over to see if they could have a nibble on our picnic too!
After we’d devoured down most of our food, we got down to business and started to list out the places we wanted to visit in the next six months.
I am the master list maker in our relationship – I love reading blogs and finding all the ‘best places to eat as recommended by locals’ and best spots to get an Instagram worthy picture!
If I’m honest, I go as far as making an itinerary and listing addresses, opening days and transport links to get to places just so I don’t miss out! Mr TUQ is much more of a ‘go-with-the-flow’ traveller but I like to ensure my travel plans are mapped out! It’s a nice balance!
This Travel Journal
is perfect is you’re a list maker because it helps you plan out your itinerary for a whole trip! It also doubles as a lovely keepsake too to keep all your memories of places that you’ve visited! I can definitely see myself sharing this book with others if they are planning a trip to a place we’ve been!
Some of the places on our wanderlust wish list are Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Denmark, Stockholm, Amsterdam and Croatia… But the list really does go on… and on…. and on!
It’s crazy to think that I’ve been in the UK for 9 months already! I feel like I’ve got so much more to see and not enough time to fit it all in!
If you have any holiday recommendations or places you think I should visit then I’d leave to hear from you! Leave a comment below so I can write them down in my Travel Journal and make sure I try to fit it in with my travel plans!
