A Letterbox Christmas Tree?

November 18, 2016

The other day I got home to find a long brown box that had slipped through the letter box hole.

I opened it and let out a little squeal!

I had a received a teeny tiny Christmas tree in the post from Bloom & Wild’s Christmas collection.

Bloom & Wild Christmas TreeHow on earth does a Christmas tree fit in a box you ask?

That’s a good question! I was intrigued too.

The tree was very been carefully wrapped so all it’s branches lay quite flat. When you take the tree out of the box, it just required a little tszujing to puff it back up again and you have to remould the soil (in a plastic bag) so it can stand upright.

I felt like a little kid opening a present on Christmas Day inspecting the box and opening all these secret parcels inside!

The inside of the box which is a shade of eggshell blue which is such a nice touch as I must profess that I’m not a huge fan of the typical red for Christmas. It also so happens that the pale blue box matches the color scheme of my Christmas decorations to a T!

Apart from the Christmas tree, there is also a little fabric pot to put your tree in and also some moss to wrap around the base of your tree and hide the plastic bag. You will also find some instructions on how to put the tree together and care for it too.

As soon as the tree arrived, I whipped out all the Christmas decorations, put on the Christmas carols and started decorating the house. Mr TUQ came home to find the house lit with lights and we had a little bubbles to celebrate the start of the festive season (Mr TUQ doesn’t like mulled wine, otherwise I definitely would have made that!). Even though the tree is small, I can still smell the pine needles wafting through the house.

I am already thinking about who else I’m going to send these little Christmas trees too! I have a little two year old friend who I know would adore opening and decorating this tree!

If you would like to send someone some festive cheer through the mailbox then have a look at Bloom & Wild’s Christmas Trees and Wreaths here. They have also kindly provided a discount code TUKU7 if you would like to use it!
